I really like the setting of the story from my first play through, even if I died on the first go (lol). During the middle of the story, there were images of the vet clinic that really added to the atmosphere of the story which I really liked and wished that there were visuals for all of the story! The writing is also quite descriptive and really set the mood, which I heavily enjoyed.

The choices are pretty straightforward but leads the story forward pretty well. There are some choices where there is a risk which I enjoyed, and some that are just to further describe the environment. There is a nice balance between the two that made it interactive yet immersive. The choices also don’t really hint at the result either, which I think heightens the risk factor of the choices, which works really well especially since in a zombie apocalypse it would be very risky everywhere too.

I played through the entire game and had a fair share of failures and also surviving the story. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and wish I knew how the rest of the story ended.

Hey Ingrid, I really enjoyed playing your game. At first, it really reminded me of teh game "Who stole my bone" that I'd played for the Twine games excercise we did a couple weeks back. As I progressed through your game, I became more and more intrigued by the plot, and I'm especially impressed by the length of the story and the myriad different paths you can take. Furthermore, the way you were able to include consequences of choices that the player makes in the initial stages later on is also very interesting.

As a cat person, I enjoyed this. I died a couple times even after learning from my mistakes.. It's hard being a cat! But overall I really enjoyed this and I love the Idea of a cat trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse. Great job!

It was interesting because as I played through the first part of the game to get past the white fence, I seemed to struggle and it made me feel like...

1. I wouldn't survive a zombie apocolypse.

2. Cats can do so much more than we can make out.

Better yet, that first decision of selectinv which cat you chose made me think that influences my survival rate, especially after failing so many times but that was great use of illusion of choice. As the sotry progressed, I know that you were going for a Stray and The Walking Dead type of survival game and those qualities like butterfly effect and playing to survive made your objective of the game very engaging. Despite the neutral tone of the typeface you use, the images really add to the immersion because by reading and seeing words it allows me to create a more active connection between current events and what might happen after the choice I make.

The 2nd part is where it becomes more intuitive and instinct base, where you decide what food you must feast on. When I bypaseed the first options and came across the bird that I'd end up hunting it made me feel like I had full control over what I did. Simply by adding "take a step forward" or "pounce" it made me consider my decisions more. To me player choice was the forefront of your game and because you did a zombie survival-esque game, it made my immersion with the game all the better! Loved it.

I really liked that your game started with picking which cat you are, and how that itself had consequences later! It's a cool concept that kind of reminds me of stray just less futuristic spore things and more just contemporary typical zombies. Most of the decisions feel like they'll have very immediate outcomes, but I like the amount of them that end up affecting things further on, like the collar and the fence.
